Meet Our Team

Carl grew up in northwest Iowa where he attended High School and worked on the family farm. Upon graduation from High School he attended and is an alumni of Minnesota State University, formerly known as Mankato State University in Mankato MN. Carl started the Carl Konz Agency in the Mason City Iowa area in September 1987 and expanded the agency to the West Des Moines area in 1992. Since 1987, Carl has enjoyed working and maintaining a relationship with his customers and friends. Carl is licensed to sell Property and Casualty insurance, Life and Health insurance, annuities, crop insurance, and bonds, in Iowa and the surrounding states.

Senad graduated from High School in Velika Kladusa Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 1987 to 1992, he worked as a Customer Service Representative in the accounting department for Agrokomerc in Velika Kladusa. In October of 1998, he moved from Germany to the USA and became a US citizen. Senad worked and attended classes at DMACC from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, Senad became a licensed agent for Carl Konz Agency in both commercial and residential lines. Senad is fluent in multiple languages, including writing, reading, and speaking the Bosnian, Serbo-Croatian and English languages. He has helped a diversified population understand and resolve their insurance needs.

Kaila graduated Dowling High School on 2014. She went on to get her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and loved being  part of the ISU softball team. She has worked in HR since graduation and continues to work part-time for Carl Konz Agency.

Ali graduated from from Dowling High School in 2012 and went on to get her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University. She had been working part-time for Carl Konz Agency since 2010 and continued to work while she received her nursing degree from Mercy College. She worked as a registered nurse during the covid pandemic and loved being able to help people on the front lines. She became a full time employee for Carl Konz Agency in 2022 and is loving working in the family business. Currently licensed in personal, commercial, life and health.

Gary graduated from high school in Williamsburg, Iowa, and in 1994, graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa. Between 1995 and 2014, he worked as an Office Manager with Menards. Gary joined the Carl Konz Agency in 2014 and is currently licensed in Life, Personal and Commercial lines.
